The Full Moon Atlas

Full Moon Atlas: Sector C-5
Northern Mare Serenitatis

With Mare Serenitatis dominating most of the region, the sector also features several intriguing formations, including Crater Posidonius (near the top of the photo), Crater le Monnier (the dark, semi-circular spot slightly south of Posidonius) and the sinuous Dorsa Smirnov (the snake-like formation running north to south at the center of the photo).

NAVIGATION NOTES:
·
Moving your cursor over major geographical features in the photograph below will trigger identifying flags.
· When displayed, approximate crater diameters (in kilometers) are shown within parenthesis.
· To move to an adjoining sector (when available), click on the direction indicator. For example, clicking on the "North" indicator moves you to the sector above the current one displayed.
