Full Moon Atlas: Sector D-4
Sinus Medii/Sinus Aestuum
West of Mare Serenitatis (upper right
corner) and Mare
Tranquillitatis (lower right edge) in this sector are the roughly
circular Mare Vaporum (upper left) and meandering Sinus
Medii (lower left). Medii, known as Central Bay in English, is
so named because it lies along the Moon's equator at about 0º latitude
and longitude.
