Northeast Mare Nubium/
Ptolemaeus
The northeastern section of Mare Nubium
(lower left) dominates the region, with the large craters Ptolemaeus,
Alphonsus and Arzachel forming a chain near the
center of the photograph. Crater Hipparchus appears near
the upper right, with Crater Horrocks located near its
northern inner rim. The upper portion of Rupes Recta is
visible near the lower left corner.
