Mare Fecunditatis South/
Southeastern Limb
The southern extension of Mare Fecunditatis is
visible along the top center edge of the photograph, with the
southeastern corner of Mare Nectaris at top left. Near the center
of the photo is Crater Petavius (177 km diameter), punctuated by
the scar-like Rimae Petavius. Near the visible eastern edge of the Moon is
vast Crater Humboldt (207 km; right of center in the
photo).
