Eastern Lacus Excellentiae/
Southern Palus Epidemiarum
The southern stretch of Palus Epidemiarum
leads into a region that features several notable craters,
including Longomontanus, Schiller, Wilhelm
and Mee. In the upper left corner is the eastern segment of
Lacus Excellentiae, while Lacus Timoris is the
small, dark patch just above the center of the photograph.
