 Full Moon Atlas: Sector G-3
Tycho/Clavius South
 The central southern region of the Moon's face,
which is covered with a myriad of craters at every position.
Included are Clavius (lower left corner), Tycho
(near the left-center edge), Stöfler (near the right edge,
above center), Maginus (just below center) and Orontius
(just above center). Although not highly evident in the photograph
below, Tycho is the source of one of Luna's most easily
identifiable features — the massive ray system that dominates
the southern hemisphere.
