The Lunar Republic Society (LRS), a leading international community of space development enthusiasts, is seeking a Space Technology Liaison (STL) to establish and sustain a local relationship between the LRS and representatives of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
This contracted position will involve meeting with various representatives of ISRO on our behalf to develop relationships and maintain communications with key personnel within both organizations to expedite expansion of a joint program to explore, settle and develop selected regions of the Moon by 2015. LRS is committed to providing approximately US$3-billion toward this project, which will not rely upon taxpayer or other governmental funding.
Certain specific governmental space technology, transport vehicle and launch facilities, including those of ISRO, Rosaviakosmos (Russia Space Agency) and the European Space Agency, as well as those of commercial space contractors, are invited and are expected to participate in this project.
The preferred candidate for the Space Technology Liaison in India must have a working knowledge of aeronautics and space technology. A college degree and/or experience in space technology with a commercial contractor or with a government agency is a plus. Must be fluent in English.
This is not a fulltime position, but may lead to permanent employment with LRS or its subsidiary agencies. It is expected that this position may require approximately 20 hours of the contractor’s time per month. Salary is estimated at US$500 per month, commensurate with experience, education, and other qualifications.
