FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Complete text of the Lunar Embassy's response. Annotation to the message is provided in footnotes at the bottom of this page. (All errors in spelling and punctuation are reprinted as in the original; breaks have been added in paragraphs for clarity.) Greetings from the Lunar Embassy. Thanks for the email. I understand your concerns. The reality is that Moonproperty.com is the copy cat. (1) They never filed a claim to own the property they are trying to sell. As for the "Novelty Gift," We have not had that on our deeds or documents for the last three years. The term on the document is, "Novel Gift." They are trying to use any distracting comments they can think of to create suspicion against us. (2) They have used the information on our website to sell customers property they do not even claim to own. (3) They are not presenting the facts as they are represented. IF you would like to discuss any of this with me personally I would be happy to discuss it with you. We have been at this twenty-one plus years they started 15 years after we did. Do you really think we were just sitting around not covering our legal basis during the first 15 years we were in business. Please call me and we will discuss this at length if you desire. Our phone number is 800-586-2729. They mention on their response to our customers that they are not affiliated with the Artimis Project. I wonder why they always display the Artimis Banner on their website? (4) They also mention the documents referring to the, "Omnipitant Ruler." The reason Omnipitant was spelled that way was because I thought it was funny. The word to me means, Omni, all encompassing and pitant, means very little. (5) The combination means ruler of very little as was the case when this all started 21 years ago. The current documents have all been changed to reflect a more serious tone. (6) Call me. With warm regards from the Galactic Government and the Lunar Embassy Dennis M. Hope ___________________ (1) Mr. Hope refers to us incorrectly as "Moonproperty.com," an organization to which we are not related. (2) Mr. Hope tries to explain the "novelty gift" disclaimer by saying that "We have not had that on our deeds or documents for the last three years. The term on the document is, 'Novel Gift.'" This is, quite frankly, an admission that anyone who bought a Lunar Deed from him in the first eighteen years received a piece of paper with zero value; that he now includes the modified "Novel Gift" disclaimer on the documents makes it evident that he still feels he must cover himself legally. If it's real, why must there be a disclaimer? (3) Please note that no element -- textual, graphical or otherwise -- on MoonProperty.Net can be confused with anything that appears on the Lunar Embassy website. But Mr. Hope is correct: we don't claim to own the Moon, any more than the governments of the United States, Japan, Australia or Switzerland claim to own the land in their countries. MoonProperty.Net acts as the designated agency of the Lunar Republic in sales of property to the public. Meanwhile, Mr. Hope continues to rely on an implausible fiction that has him going to a land office in San Francisco, Calif., to stake his claim of Lunar ownership. While it makes a good story, that's about all it is. The land office, as he describes it, does not exist. (4) Mr. Hope responds "I wonder why they always display the Artimis Banner (sic) on their website?" The banners that Mr. Hope displays on the Lunar Embassy website advertise free cell phones, discount life insurance, online gambling, weight loss gimmicks and other products. Mr. Hope doesn't explain the root of his intense dislike for the Artemis Society, but it appears that he would rather sell products that put money in his own pocket rather than lend his support to this respected organization. (5) According to Webster's New World College Dictionary, there is no such word as "pitant." (6) As noted in our previous response, Mr. Hope only became "serious" and made plans for a "Galactic Government," a flag and a constitution after learning of the existence of the Lunar Republic and its already publicly-announced plans.
